you couldn't get 10 billion people to agree on what the color blue is, much less which god rules supreme.

I would hope that everyone would join with the agnostics and hold off on religion until it can be concretely proven or disproven.

Unity does not come though religion, because there are far too many who insist to have found the key to the sense of live and mythical ,allmighty beings that you just cannot encounter for some reason.

By the way , for global unity by political system instead of a faith based on not much and a few fairy tales i`d take anarchy and communism. That means , if some dumbhead of ex- priest seminary members (Iosif S.) don`t start a religion out of it like back in the UDSSR.

Actually there was a time when nearly all the known world, or at least the civ. world, was considered christian. Yet during that time the Christians actually fought and killed each other over interpretations of the Bible of the time. Therefore I suggest we need to rethink what we have been taught to believe and come to God open to the thought that God reveals Himself to different ppl in different ways. Read a book called "Velvet Elvis" to get an idea of the new christian thought for the new millennium.

Why ask Atheists? They don't believe in anything religious yet you are asking them to suggest a religion to unite us?

They should be the last people to whom this question should be addressed to.

i don't think there can ever be one world religion. the views and beliefs of each religion are just too broad. we don't need one religion to unite us. we need acceptance. we need to learn that just becasue someone is different than us, doesn't make them below us. atheists choose not to believe in anything and that's fine, but they should leave those of us alone that choose to believe in God. we can never be united until we all learn to get along.

I think that the only thing that could unite all countries is the idea that it doesn't matter what "God" you pray to we are all united in the belief that we are all one praying for the same thing...connectedness. Peace. Love. Understanding. And the abolishment of fear.

Yes it is in the Bible that one day the false one will have one and all in that group will bear the mark of 666...I have nothing to say that could unite us...But in my eyes the federal government will have a system up like you see in Si-Fi movies one day were all who have whatever they use to track you used...All others will become outlaws....

Atheism is the only unifying philosophy.

Religions are invented by men who want to play God. And, they will never share their throne with other self-appointed Gods.

Can you imagine Pat Robertson stepping down from his throne?

Or, Jerry Falwell?

Won't happen so long as they can sucker people into believing them to be Gods.

A belief that not all people have to be your religion and that others have just about as much right to be who they are instead of what you see fit.
