Numnuts...there is usually a circuit breaker that stops the brush when something gets entangled in it, so this reeks of fake. I don't think you have a vacuum cleaner because if you did have one you would know this, which you do not. Even if this bizarre thing DID actually happen, all you'd have to do is turn off the vacuum cleaner, but I don't even think you have a cat. The reason I say that I don't think you have a cat is because it you DID actually have a cat you would know that when you come near a cat with a vacuum cleaner the cat will run away. You could never get even close to the tail.

Yes, this one really reeks.

Don't cut it! Take the cat to the vet.....vacuum and all. They can remove the tail from the brush without causing further unnecessary pain to the animal. Not to mention they can treat any wounds. Get there quickly!

I agree with freedomhammer. I have 5 cats & 4 will run for the hills when I vac.
Another thing, the micro second that vac touches the cats tail, s/he is outta there.
If this is for real tho, follow the above posters instructions & get the cat to a vet.

Otherwise, I smell a troll.

And you're sitting here on yahoo answers. Poor kitty. DO NOT CUT THE CAT, YOU COULD KILL HIM. Take the vacuum apart. There are screws to get to the brush. When u get him out take him to the vet to get checked out. I'm sure he'll be OK.

Hmmmm........ no wonder cats are scared of vacuums.

get someone to hold your cat and unplug the vaccuum and unscrew the bottm plate off and detangle his tail from there, and call your vet he needs to be seen tonight if you can't get it out of there take the cat and the vaccuum to the emergency vets right now. I hope by now you are at the vets.

It's funny on this site you can tell a lot about spelling. Not one misspelled word, and a cat is flipping out right next to you? I guess I've seen worse questions, this one had imagination.

What were you doing vacuuming? It's Sunday. Grab a Miller Lite and a piece of chicken and chill. As far as your cat goes, call the fire department.

Call the vet. See if the brush is easily removable. If it isn't, just bring the whole thing in. You'll do more damage than good if you try anything else.
