It depends on the store in the mall you are caught stealing from. Each individual store has it's own policy. At some stores, it depends on the amount of what you stole, other stores aren't as forgiving. I worked in security at a store, but not one in a mall, so this is what I base it on. I also was interviewed for a store in a mall in Athens, GA., but turned it down (so I could work closer to home), for a security position, so I know what that store's policy is. But I won't tell you what store it is, otherwise you'd probably want to avoid it!

It depends if the store the person steals from wants to press charges for theft. Depending on the value of the amount taken depends on the fines. The higher the value the higher the penalty. That person can count on getting arrested and possibly going to jail.

I had to go to court and I was sentenced to 20 days of community service, 10 months of probation, I had to take a shoplifting class, I got $1,600 in fines (eventhough I stole an item only worth $100 and they got it back), and I was not aloud on the mall property for one year.

First, You will get taken to the Main Office in the mall , ( usually 3 or 4 small rooms and they will ask you questions like Is this your first time? and crap and then if it is your first time they will ban you from the mall for like 6 months and call ur mom or whoever you live with ;) happened to me once

Ultimate embarrassment - the long walk through the mall out to the cop car can be quiet tramatic when you're wearing handcuffs.

Depends on how old you are...If they think that your old enough to know better you will be charged and probably get community service and have to pay for the stuff. If your a kid they probably won't let you back in the store ever.

Depends on who catches you, Jail or a call to your mom, it also depends on your age 16 and over Jail.
Just don't even try it. Use good judgment!
