when you are married. What you have is very special and you should wait. Not very many people can say that they are virgins. Don't do it because others are. When I was 15, alot of people were having sex and I felt like should have also, so I went to a calendar and marked the day I wanted to have sex. I ended up not doing it because I got scared, but I lost my virginity during a rape. I became sexually active at 15, now I am 24 and married and having sex is good, but it would have been better if I would have waited. My husband and I would have had something to look forward to. We dated for 9 years, and just got married. Save your stuff. It really is valuable.

I agree with Peter B. The best age is whatever age you are when you get married. It's something that should be saved for when you are COMMITTED to that person. Believe me...it saves a lot of problems after your married. Besides, any time you have sex you are taking the risk of spending your life with that person for at least the next 18 years!! - You get pregnant and you have to deal with that person whether you like it or not! Even if you never want to have anything to do with them! Kids always have a little of mom and dad in their makeup.
Again, the BEST age is the night of your honeymoon.

Honestly I would wait till you are married, or at least with someone you care about. I lost mine when I was 13 and I wish that I hadn't. I'm happy cause I was with someone that I loved very much and still do. That didn't stop me from feeling dirty after wards though. I'd wait until you are married. I really wish that I had now.

age is not the important question here. its when will you be married and when you are sure you have the person that makes you most happy and treats you with dignity and respect and when you no that you are ready emotionally to take on such a responsibility and possably the consequences of doing so. good luck to you and always remember its always one of the most important choices in life you will make so stop and choose wisely.

the age at which YOU are ready and are able to accept and deal whatever consequences may come afterwords. A lot of the other answers included things like the age when your married. but honestly, thats all about your beliefs. Yes the bible does say a woman gives her self to her husband and only husband, but this does not seem to apply to todays society. Yes virginity is one of the best things you can give a man as a wedding present...but remember thats not all hes looking for in a wife. this is something you have to decide for yourself. The first time can be a little painful and a little awkward, your unsure of yourself sure and can end up feeling confused about it afterwords. Just be sure this is what you want, and dont think that sex can save a relationship. it wont. in fact it will make it worse, you will end up feeling like you werent actually ready, and that maybe you were pressured subtly into something you werent ready for. Talk to your parents about this, it will be really awkward, but they are experts. if they throw the no way now ur not dating thing in your face then thats too bad. parents dont realize that by taking the time to listen to their kids they might be able to build the confidence and self assurity that is usually essential before you partake in lovemaking. Talk to your partner also. above all just make sure that whatever decision it is you make, that it is YOUR decsion, and that your sure its what you want. Also just so u know the first time isnt always as magical as you might hope. So dont get dissappointed, it takes time to figure out what it is you like and find your groove.
