My sister is 23 years old and has never brought home a boyfriend in her entire life. Even though she's about 25 lbs overweight, in my opinion she has a pretty face and a great personality so I've ruled out the whole poor self esteem issue because I don't think she has one. What she does have though is a best friend that I personally think she is a bit too close with. They are with each other 24/7 and she is involved in every aspect of my sister's life. When she sleeps over she sleeps in the same bed with my sister and every time they are alone in the house the bedroom door is always closed and locked. She always calls me on my cell phone asking me peculiar questions like, "When are you coming home?" or if I'm home "What time are you leaving?" I haven't seen them kiss or anything but I've never seen two people attached to each other like this. They talk like a couple, they act like a couple, they even argue like a couple. Is my sister a lesbian or am I over analyzing this thing?

maybe she has found herself in a relationship and doesnt realize it. lololo sounds funny but it could be true. or maybe she is a big old lez. maybe she feels you guys would not accept it or her and doesnt feel the need to discuss her private life with anyone.
i dont discuss it with my family. they know but dont want to know if you know what i mean. so i dont bother because i dont need to hear their self riteous christian going to hell if your gay crap. dont buy it. anyway - maybe if you talk to her and hint that you would accept someone no matter what she may start to feel safe enough to confide in you.

Hello there. Just because your sister and her friend are close doesn't mean anything else is going on. I know at that age most girls that are gay are trying to figure things out. Give your sister some time and if she is gay, make sure she knows you love her and that you are there for her. Talk to her but don't pressure her into telling you. Could be, just ask her, but don't judge her. It's her business, her life, and if you want to have a meaningful life-long connection with her, it's best to listen and accept-- even if you have issues with her lifestyle. Some family is usually better than none at all.

Why don't you ask her? If you're non-judegemental anyway, it should be fine. If she is a lesbian then she will feel more natural with you, and your relationship will probably improve.

I'd say your theory is pretty strong. You don't have people over for sleepovers when you're 23...unless it's for more than sleeping.
