When they dont even understand evolution? Why do they think that because there are still apes, evolution cannot occur. Do you not understand that those apes came from the same creature we split from, we just took different routes. Evolution is not a big race to see who can win, evolution is about surviving as best you can. The only reason we are here today is because in the infancy of our species, we were scared. We saw all the things in the world, but didnt understand them, so our brains evolved to become bigger and more complex to allow us to have an advantage over other lifeforms (notice we cannot run faster, bite harder or swim faster than most of the other life?)

Most think evolution is just a single theory that hasn't be proved yet. They don't bother to look at all the smaller theories that have been proved that support evolution. They also have a hard time comprehending that evolution is a *very* slow process. They think we should see signs of evolution every day, and since we can't, it must be false. These people most likely failed science class by writing "because God created it that way" as the answer to every question,

I'm Christian, but I have always believed in evolution, just slightly different. I believe that God started everything and then let the world grow, and give everyone a chance. The strongest would prevail. My religion doesn't agree with this, but that is how I feel. I don't believe in reading something that was written many years ago, when our knowledge wasn't that great. But I do read it and believe it. People are just to closed minded to some things.

Not all Christians are hard-core creationists. I'm a Christian myself, but I buy into the theory of evolution. There's just so much evidence out there that proves the existance of evolution. But the Bible doesn't say specifically that the creation of the world happened over a course of six (God rested on the seventh, remember?) literal days. If you're like me and interpret the Bible rather loosely, then the creation period took its course over six STAGES of development. Hence, allowing for evolution FACILITATED BY GOD.

If Man is the Supreme Being on Earth. Than..... Why does a Red Wood Tree Live Longer?
Why cant's we breath air, and amphibious ourselves to breath under water with out an air tank?
Have telepathic senses as some animals?
Even Carl Sagan believed in God, before he died. He promoted, and had dedicated most of his life to evolution.
Just a little food for thought.... There is a God...! I don't really need proof of life from an amoeba.

There is actually no argument between creation and evolution. Evolution is a proven fact. Creation is a poetic way of people handling what they believe is God. Of course there is a God, but it is different for all of us, yes everyone. We usually just understand and stand by the beliefs we can emotionally handle. Some people just don't want to admit, that we just don't know everything.

only an idiot would believe that they know what our species was thinking and feeling before they were even born. We were scared? Did you get in the delorean and take a trip back to fantasy world to come up with that nonsense? Tool.

I believe in Creation and this is what I know. The Bible doesn't teach evolution so why should I support something that I believe is false where it is an afront to God.

I don't know personally I believe it's a good cross between the two...do we know everything that happened and how without a doubt? I'm a christian and I'm supposed to accept creationism but the scientific side of me won't let it happen.

Because they are fundamental christians. They dislike what science is doing to their religion, and it tries to disprove their beleifs, so they try to fight back.

They're science is flawed though, because they know what answers they want before hand and try to work out ways they can get those answers, whereas scientists try to find the truth and the unknown.
