My windows media player or any other program i used to play music and movies runs kindda slow-the image and the sound-my computer is not old--can some 1 tell me how to fix this plz. Thanks

It can be that you have many programs running at once. Close out some unneccary programs while your on the computer. It can also be that your low on Memory or RAM. I suggest using Window Media Player 10 Beta. I'm currently using it and it's always been fast for me! If not, always switch to iTunes. It has been convinent for me.

i bet you have a lot of junk on the computer. there is stuff like get free AOL. that stuff, get rid of it. and there is programs runnig the background, on your startup bar (the big blue bar that goes accros with the start button) on the very right side, there is icons, close out the the ones you don't use. another thing is to go into you task manager (by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del). click on the process tab and close out the programs with the most mem usage by clicking End Process (beaware! don't close out : svchost.exe, explorer.exe, zclient.exe (only if you have zonealarm), wmplayer.exe, lassess.exe (something like that), mcshield.exe, mcdetect (only if you have McAffee), and i thnk thats it) good luck

close out programs not being used
might have to go to task manager to do this
alt-delete-ctrl at same time bring up the window

sounds like you have spyware or viruses it happens to everybody just get a program to clean it up like Spybot - Search and Destroy
