We've been to several stores, but all or most foods appear to contain a certain amount of sugar. Does anyone know of a store that sells sugar free foods that people with diabetes are allowed to consume? Tried even Trader Joe's and unfortunately, their selection was very limited.
Help!

The grocery stores here seem to have a wide variety of "sweets" that are sugar free. One thing to keep in mind is that in order to make up for the sugar, many sugar free foods are high in fat....just as many fat free foods are full of sugar. I'm glad to know that you read the nutrition information.

you are having a hard time finding them because unfortunately even though a cake could be sugar free its still loaded with flour etc which is nothing but carbs. Carbs turn themselves into sugar in the body so most diabetics are not permitted a large amount of carbs with or without sugar. There are many classess that diabetics can take to teach them what and what not tohave. Depending on the severaty of the disease she could perhaps have a small slice of regualr cake. Splenda is a good alternative and their website has many recipes for no sugar desserts. Good luck to your mom.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

My grandmother had to cook for a diabetic and she loved these Blue Bunny sugar free ice cream treats she found at walmart. Bread I know she made her own. But you can get candies and dessert items sugar free now from most grocers. I know
walmart has like sugar free syrup, jellies, and stuff like that because she would get it there. She cooked with a lot of splenda. Good Luck!

Try baking at home. I've found that substituting 1 cup of honey for 1/2 cup sugar + 1/2 cup liquid works in many recipes.
