I have no reason to, there is no evidence that god exists, in fact, I am convinced that it doesn't. The god that is written about in the Bible and other religious texts doesn't make any sense. Everything that's happening in the world points to an evil god, not a good one. Because of that, If I were to believe in any god at all, I would believe in an evil one. There's no reason to though because all of the evil in the world can be explained realistically; without the supernatural.
I don't believe in god for the same reason you don't believe in Peter Pan.

more accurately I don't believe in the existance of any gods. I haven't done for many years. Now if someone could come up with some nice verifiable evidence or your god could, you know, make a personal appearance I might revise my opinion. Unfortunately, the christian god at least, has a "I don't have to prove my existance" clause. How convenient.

the concept of God just doesn't hold up to scientific scrutiny. If there is a God, He did a very good job of covering his tracks and spent a whole lot of time (14.7 Billion years) to allow the Universe to grow before introducing Christianity. That's a long 7 days, if you ask me.

I know that i don`t know anything (to quote socrates)
Matter of fact so called proof leading to faith in some "higher" being is just fairy tales. There are three million different faiths and the double of that so i could just invent my own or just admit that i have absolutely no reason to follow anyone of that ways. By the way i also cannot proof that there is "no" such thing...
if there is we will see, anyway i just got 1(one !) live and i won``t follow any stupid doctrine that forbids me having fun.
so ka ?

I don't. I tried, I just never bought it. I have always beleived that there is nothing unknowable. Christian faith discards this as doubt. I think it is healthy to doubt.
There is too much physcs evidence for the way things have turned out (the universe and such). There is no need for a god.

I have a hard time believing in something that never answers when I call. That lets children die so horrible a death while murders rapist and horrible people in general get to live wonderful full lives. That allows his children to suffer and not even attempt to help or show any kind of concern. Not to mention that I have never seen proof that he exists.

I don't believe that there is and I don't believe that there isn't...
Why, b/c I am not going to be so arrogant as to say I know for a fact that something like that does or does not exist. It's arrogant to go around tellin' people one thing when you can't even proove it to your self or even others for that matter.

Prove existence. I can prove that I exist, even if only in my mind. I don't believe because I don't need to. My life is fine without wasted hours and money to a purpose that is futile to me. I have better things to do with my life than to waste it away.

Jack Bauer's answer is on the money. I would state it as a skeptic.
I have never encountered, or been offered, any evidence of the existence of god, or gods. End of story.
