Oh my gosh!!!! That is terrible. Call the Humane Society immediately to get this sick bastard off the streets. Remember Jeffrey Dahmer? He started out by torturing small innocent animals. Get this person arrested ASAP...it might save a human's life some day.
I am so sorry for your loss..... :-(

I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, depending on where you live, chances are the authorities will do very little, if anything. At least that was my experience when a neighbor admitted to shooting my cat when he was drunk. I would still file a police report, but don't expect too much to come of it. Animal cruelty laws are too lenient in most states in the U.S. (if you're in the U.S.), and some cases are sometimes just too difficult to prove for the authorities to even bother with.
Take time, heal your heart, and - when you're ready - adopt another animal in need in honor of your beloved lost pet. Mean people suck. Best wishes to you.

If you have proof that he ran it over on purpose then you can have him arrested. but if you just suspect it you can call the police and see if they can get to the bottom of the problem. there might be others out there that could vouch for you and with enough evidence he would be taken care of. I wish you all the luck in the world. hope you get this matter settled. I would hate to think that he will get away with this terrible crime. Good Luck and keep us posted.

I would feel no remorse in tracking them down and exercising "extreme prejudice" in terminating them. Pets (like all life forms) are God's (or Allah or Yahweh, etc) little creatures and need to be treated as such. Pieces of garbage like that need to be removed for the good of society.

Report them to the Humane Society, and have them arrested or put in juvy. Violence is part of an escalation path. Sick, demented people who can harm pets, are likely in need of help, and could harm people too.

I've read that killing animals could be an early behavior pattern of a future Psychotic killer. I would stay away from the person if I were you.

If a person did that to my cat well I would tell them that they were a very cruel hateful person. There is no sense in revenge because it doesn't give back what you lost. Any one who does that to a living creature is very much a disturbed person. I hope it didn't happen to you.
