GIrls are always impressed and flattered when a guy looks them in the eye and gives them a warm greeting. If your just meeting someone be sure to clearly state your name extend your hand, look the girl in the eye (this exudes confidence) and give her a firm but not too hard hand shake. If the conversation continues make sure you don't talk all about yourself. Ask about her, then try to find a topic of mutual enjoyment to discuss. Keep it light, always be a gentleman and respectful. If the conversation goes well you could politely ask for her number. Even if she says no you should tell her you enjoyed talking with her (never burn your bridges, she may have a friend that perfect for you) Remember- you have to talk and you have to ask. If you don't ask you'll never get a yes. Good luck.

well it all depends on the insecurities; if they're physical, you can always work out or lose weight or anything like that to help get over that. If they're social insecurities, then the only way to get over them is to actually go out and talk to people, but if you do, you'll improve quickly. Believe this coming from a pretty shy guy. Good luck bud
