(To the person below) It has an apostrophe because it's named after someone called Alois Alzheimer actually, so it's 'his' disease.

Agree with all those who answered your question but i wouldn't generalise about your sister-in-law having AD because she is forgetful! She could be under a lot of stress, depressed, there could be something else wrong with her! Why don't you suggest to her that she should visit her doctor?
