Honestly, a good spanking wouldn't hurt these kids. It would probably surprise them and they would cry their heads off. It is supposed to curb behaviour like this.

Positive re-inforcement won't work if the kids just keep cursing after being told. I realize spanking isn't condoned anymore but if they were my kids, I'd use the "rule of three" - keep on with the bad behaviour after being asked three times, and get a spanking you won't forget. Worked for my parents.

Just my opinion!

chances are that the others that don't care, are the ones saying the words that you cousins are saying. When a child hears and bad word and knows its a bad word, they will say it and see if they can get away with it. If no one says anything to them about, then they will keep saying it until thats all the words they say. Talk to your little cousins and tell them that those words are not nice to say, if that doesn't work, you might have to trick them into not saying them, offer them rewards for not saying the bad words, until you don't hear them anymore

I think you should alert your grandmother to the problem. If their mother has her head too far up her bum to realize the problem she has on her hands then tell Grandma!! No grandma worth her weight is going to allow her grandchildren use language like that. Someone needs to shove a bar of soap in their mouth every time they utter a cuss word.

Do your cousins ever like to do things with you like swimming or playing video games, or maybe do they like your things like a xbox, computer, games you might have

if so then just take away those things from them and say you won't let them play with you or those things untill they don't cuss anymore, and if they cuss again just take away them again

Frown, cry...weep, moan, sob...

Say " You've hurt my ears...please
don't do it again, or I'll have to box yours!

Seriously, if you're with the little 'sailors' often,
threaten to cut out, not their tongues, but the visits!

How nice of you to care !

Just tell them and their parents that you will not tolerate it in your presence. If they do curse in your presence, tell them to leave (if at your place) or you leave (if at theirs). You can't stop them, that is their parents' job, but you can keep them from doing it around you.

Try telling your cousin that it a sin against God. If that don't work use a bar of soap.

tell them that it makes them sound uneducated and it is extremely rude and if you catch them cursing infront of you again there is going to be trouble. or something like that. i cant stand it when people cuss.

Talk to your parents about the foul language. Maybe they will talk to the kids's parents.
