It appears that illegals have infiltrated the entire nation.....

The declaration that illegals do the ugly, unworthy-for-American-jobs, is such a crock. There have always been people who will get the jobs done...otherwise how did we get to become the efficient, hard-working and successful nation that we have become?

The philosophy of "we need illegals to do the dirty work" is just a great Public Relations Spin. If the illegals all left there would be a short period of adjustment as their positions were filled by others...and life would go on....

Americans wont do "those" jobs because the pay is very low. Now if the pay was better than Americans would do the jobs then the illegals would be out of work. Then again we would have to pay $5.00 for tomatoes instead of less than a dollar or so.

Also if they would go and get the homeless I'm sure they would do it well some would just to get money and bring themselfs out of the street and into a warm home.

Many agricultural jobs including field work ( in my area ) have been automated. Many others that some claim Americans will not do are indeed held by gringo looking people such as maid service, restaurant work and not all but quite a few grunt construction jobs. Of course the minimum wage in my state is 7.50 an hr.

There are no jobs americans won't do. Whoever started this silly saying in order to make us want to keep illegals has seen it backfire, I'm sure. Or are you only a true american if you are rich enough not to have to do the dirty work? Maybe that's what was meant. I know one thing for sure, everybody I know mows their own grass unless the service is provided by apartment managers. Everybody I know cleans their own houses, including THE TOILET. We have all worked all manner of jobs when they were available. As I said before, maybe some people don't think we're real americans. If so that's really sad, and I don't want to be one anymore.

That's the soft underbelly of the illegals myth. There is no such thing. Most illegals are working in construction, making way more than minimum wage.

So are illegal alien apologists saying that Americans won't work construction? What about waiters, dishwashers, and cooks. Americans won't do these jobs? Illegals mow a lot of lawns. Americans won't mow lawns? I see them doing it every weekend.

I'm sure Americans do them. As well, I bet that in those states the education system is not overburdened, hospitals aren't closing, social services aren't overburdened, jails aren't overflowing with illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, and people don't feel like they have to know another language in order to do their activities of daily living. I bet, overall, financially, those states are doing better than the states that are overburdened with illegals. It would be interesting to see some comparison figures of these things between states that have fewer illegal immigrants and those that have more of them.
