My Bahai friend told me that Bahaulla performed miralces, but that were 'discouraged' from using these events to 'prove' that Bahaulla was the Cause of God.

I've always seen the Bahai's interpret just about every miracle in a metaphysical sense, rather than a physical one.

Do any Bahai's know of any miracles that Bahaulla performed? For academic reasons if you prefer?

profe: It won't prove anything. I am not interested in his miracles for conversion purposes. As I have already stated, it is academic.

He was just a liar, not a messenger from God. You can see the history.

To answer your question directly, miracles are minimized.

As you realize, the Bahá'í teaching on this matter is quite clear. In letters written on behalf of the Guardian to individual believers, we find the following:

7
"...regarding the birth of Jesus-Christ. In the light of what Bahá'u'lláh and 'Abdu'l-Bahá have stated concerning this subject it is evident that Jesus came into this world through the direct intervention of the Holy Spirit, and that consequently His birth was quite miraculous. This is an established fact, and the friends need not feel at all surprised, as the belief in the possibility of miracles has never been rejected in the Teachings. Their importance, however, has been minimized." (31 December 1937)

8
"The Master clearly writes in a Tablet that Christ was not begotten in the ordinary way, but by the Holy Spirit. So we must accept this. Every Faith has some miracles, and this is the great miracle of the Christian Faith. But we must not let it be a test to us. Our human minds are so small, and as yet so immature compared to the men of the future, that we should have no difficulty in acknowledging the Power of God when He chooses to show it in some manner "illogical" to us!" (23 December 1948)

9
"...God Who is the Author of the universe, can, in His Wisdom and Omnipotence, bring any change, no matter how temporary, in the operation of the laws which He Himself has created." (27 February 1938)

To any of your friends who are confused on this issue, you can explain that the principle of harmony between religion and science, while it enables us, with the help of reason, to see through the falsity of superstitions, does not imply that truth is limited to what can be explained by current scientific concepts. Not only do all religions have their miracles and mysteries, but religion itself, and certain fundamental religious concepts, such as the nature of the Manifestations of God, are far from being explicable by present-day scientific theories.

Baha'u'llah received only a basic education. As child he was renowned for his incredible wisdom. Every learned and scientific man who entered his presence had their questions answered and all acknowledged he was unique in his perfections. I also will mention that he had never studied Arabic, yet his compositions in that language brought astonishment to the most accomplished Arabic scholars, both in their elegance and in their calligraphy.
Not every Iranian Muslim can master Arabic without schooling. Baha'u'llah did not want the world to become Baha'i through miracles. For Him to have revealed Tablets in a foreign language would have been too much I think, for people to ignore.

And what would the ability to perform miracles prove? Could it be a way to deceive you away from the Truth?

what do you call this:
it is less than 200 years from the beginning of Baha'i Faith and look around the world ... almost every single country has a Baha'i community... now look back at the history of other religions and see how fast they grow.
and remember Baha'i People did not attack any country and did not go with war and fight ... would it be possible that one regular guy from Iran 150 years ago can do this things.....be honest with yourself
