I see your point that Christianity may be one big cult scam...put on by the true believers....did you see the South Park episode where the Sociologists try to audit Stan and then they think he is the second coming of L Ron Hubbard...the Sci Fi writer and megalomaniac wacco...it was so funny.....Ton Cruise was hiding in the closet because the kid liked Napoleon Dynamite better....then John Travolta went in the closet...and the kid said they should stop charging for the services and the Sci people were just so crazy....it ended with all of them threatening to Sue him.... and him saying go ahead I'm not afraid of you.
That was even better than the one that made fun of the Mormons.

Fair question, and you do have the right to your opinion, however wrong it is, Ok being a christian I just had to throw that in, I'm sorry. If he wasn't the son of God he wouldn't have been able to turn the water into wine, nor would he have been able to raise Lazerath from the grave, or make the blind man see. All these miracles were witnessed by many, not few. Also after he was crusefied when he was taken down from the cross they slit his side and blood and water came out, then when he had arisen from the grave he ascended up to Heaven with an Angel on either side. If only on or two of these things happened, Ii might understand your point of view, but, the Bible is full of wonderful things. So, being a christian I just simply BELIEVE.

No I do not consider Jesus to be a Lie, and to be honest I never ever considered that that could be the case, ever since I can remember I had believed in God and that Jesus was his Son. And yes I do believe that people are being taken for a ride, but not about Jesus being God's Son but about Jesus not being God's Son, the Bible is the only source of truth, and it is the least source used, to learn the truth. I do believe that Jesus was a prophet but he was more than just a prophet and he was and still is the Son of God and people in his day did not believe that he was the Son of God they called him a blasphemer because he said that he was God's Son. The Bible was written under God's direction and it is the word of God, that I believe. I am so sorry to hear that you choose to disbelieve the Bible as truth without actual research of it, have you considered the possibility that it is true, because it is And no I will not damn you because of your beliefs I will just pray that you find out the truth while there is still time and implore you to check into the Bible for your own peace of mind, and find out what is truth and what is not for yourself! I only haveBest wishes for you, and please consider your steps closely and take care who you listen to as well!

The Bible is an historical document. Much of it has been found to be verified. Those of us who believe it as Gods word have no doubt Jesus was Gods son. The miracles he did was evidence that he was. They are documented and verified in four different books of the Bible (called the Gospels). If walking on water, turning water to wine, healing sick, and feeding thousands with a few loaves of bread and a few fish were not enough, the fact he died, raised up four days later, was witnessed by many and then went up to heaven should show he was not just a prophet! The Bible is His- story, Gods story of His people, that is where we get the word history!

That is a possibility. But, honestly. Think of this world with out a God. Or without people relying on greater beings. It would be chaos. Think about it, you're homeless. You have no family, no friends, no money. And you live in a deserted barn somewhere out in the middle of Wyoming. You live near no one. Being alone like that can drive someone mad. People want someone to help them, to be there for them. Someone to talk to. And if there was no heaven or hell (for the people that believe) there would be no reason not to go on a killing spree. You won't get punished in the long run. Maybe prison for a while, and you will die soon anyway, so what's the big deal? Maybe a bad conscience, but other than that, no guilt. No repentance. I've thought about that before, but the biggest piece of christianity and religion is faith. That seeing isn't believing. If something goes wrong, someone has to be to blame. If something wonderful happens, you had to be blessed by someone. The someone has to be greater, better. That someone is God. People need someone to be there for them, always, no matter how much wrong they have committed, how many people they've hurt. That's what God is there for.

This could be a possibility but honestly believing in God & Jesus is a personal relationship and belief.
Jesus could have been a prophet, where Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Phillip believed that Jesus was the Son Of God. Hence scriptures were written, then later in time the Bible was written but many believe because they themselves have seen miricles happen in their life from reading and following Gods word.
Hence, that's why I believe in Jesus. There are things that have happened in my life that corrilate with the bible.

Here's a strange thing. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all worship the same Lord -- the god of Abraham (Christians identify Him as "God the Father.").
Jews say that Jesus isn't the promised Messiah, and is certainly not the son of G-d.
Muslims say that Allah is perfect and doesn't need or have a son.
So, that means that a lot of people who worship The Lord of the Bible consider Jesus as not being of Holy significance.
If you discount Jesus as being part of a Holy Trinity, you're left with a Jesus who wanted to reform the Jewish church of the time, which had become a corrupt wealth-gathering organization instead of being a group intended to focus its people on G-d. Jesus taught two main things:
'Be excellent to each other' (sounds like what Bill and Ted taught to the people of the future, doesn't it?)
Pray directly to G-d.
As for me, I'm a Pascalian Christian. I suggest you look up "Pascal's Wager" on wikipedia. The article is short, and a lot easier reading than the Bible. Pascal wasn't a prophet or holy man. He was a mathematician.

The Jews KNEW who Jesus was...
John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
You have to remember the bible was written by eyewitnesses to these events...just as any history book. These people walked and talked with Jesus...they ate and drank with Him. Why would they write lies about someone they had known only a short while? Think about it. Isn't it ironic...the bible is thought to be a fairy tale by some...yet is the number one best seller in the world today. Those that wrote their story of the things they witnessed and heard are no different than I. I can also write what I have witnessed in my lifetime. There are many philosophers that have written about Jesus; those that lived in His time and those that lived soon after. Are they mistaken? Did they write fiction? We believe what Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein wrote...I was born well after both these men. Research is the key here...

Fair question, though I wonder how you can have decided what to believe without even owning a Bible; doesn't sound like you cared for much research beyond what you yourself liked the sound of, but whatever.
Isaiah 9:6 promises that the Messiah (Jesus) is Almighty God and the Everlasting Father. Isaiah predates the birth of Jesus by many generations. The point here being that it was not just those who believed what Jesus Himself said, but the overall understanding of what ALL the Scriptures said even before His arrival that we base the belief that Jesus is God on.
Maybe you'd like to see a cool movie?

We live in an upside down time. Knowledge and evidence is considered "just a theory", while 'belief', without any evidence whatsoever is called truth. Science is now belief and faith is now knowledge.
faith and reason should not clash. If they do, it's because our interpretations are wrong. But only reason can be self correcting.
Sadly, truth does not possess falsehoods absolute clarity
There are people who doubt and have done far more research then I am willing to do. Here are a few interesting links. I hold no opinion, but my curiosity demands that I examine other viewpoints (as all intelligent and/or educated people should do)
The following sites do not claim a knowledge of fact, they examine and question the evidence only.

and an interesting site of the more ancient Vegan, Gnotics and Tantric traditions.

No, I've never considered that. This is just one of those things that you take on faith. You either believe or you don't. I don't think every passage in the bible can be taken literally. It was written in parables and a long time ago, before humans had gained much of the knowledge that we have now. But as for your question, I do believe that Jesus is the son of God.
