It stems from the idea that all things will work out in the end, and you don't have to do anything to make sure that it does.
Here are a list of ways that it will all work out in the end:
1) There are government welfare programs - Well, we'll overlook that usually conservative Christians want to abolish the welfare program, because it's primarily poor women that give birth to multiple children that use it
2) They can give the kid up for adoption - And hope that it's a cute enough baby to be adopted, since some don't get adopted
3) They can hope there's some charitable organization that will take care of all of the unwanted babies. I think it feels better to look at the good results than it does to look at the babies and people that slip through the cracks.
No one is perfect, so I am not condemning good-intentioned people too harshly. However, I encourage any one who thinks that abortion is wrong, adoption is right, should go out and adopt a baby... After all, if you fight to save a life, you should be willing to take care of it, too.

What the heck is "The Breath of Life"?
Is this some new nut-job teaching-- like being slain in the Spirit?
And, Christians who fight against abortion, believe in life. Yet, also, I believe in the death penalty. I believe if a person intentionally takes a life, their's should be required of them.
I find it appalling how some are so quick to allow the stoppage of life. A fetus is NOT part of a woman's body. It's the body of a child to be.
I do believe in the right to choose. BUT, it isn't the mother's choice to make. It's the baby's.

Starve? If the mother can't afford to care for the child there are options - she can give the child up for adoption at birth, or she can even find a couple before she gives birth (in many cases the couple will pay for medical expenses). No one is saying to keep a child if the child is going to starve - there are many, many couples out there that would love the chance to be parents.
Not only that, but who is anyone to say that being murdered is better than being alive? If you were starving, would you want to be put to death? Even if a woman decided not to give the child up for adoption - she can breastfeed, which is free and there are tons of programs that vary state to state which help mothers with formula/diapers/food. The point is, that where there is a will theres a way. People need to stop using abortion as a form of birth control.

How much have YOU done to help others. Do you contribute to organizations trying to help those in countries like Africa or where ever people look for food in the garbage dump?
There are 300 million Americans, I bet there are not 10 million children that can be adopted in America. The point is, if every home that has two TVs, two or more cars, and a boat tried to adopt one child their would not be enough to go around!
So before you look at the straw on the other persons coat, try moving the plank out of your eyes!

Exactly which Christians are letting children starve? The ones that go around the world, sometimes at great peril, to heal the sick and feed the starving? The ones who stay in America and make the money to give to those missionaries who do go? Or some other ones you know about? Maybe you prefer your Uncle Karl's plan ... "from those according to their ability, to those according to their need". Worked very well for Stalin ... he let 20,000,000 Ukrainians starve to death because they wanted to retain ownership of their land. Stalin stole their grain to feed the Moscowites ... himself included, of course.
Stalin did murder ... so is abortion.

First all all I'm a Christian and i don't believe in murdering an innocent baby just because the mother is to irresponsible to take the responsibility for her actions (sex). Also Christians are all over the world helping and caring for starving children.

I do not believe in abortion and I have never personally let a baby starve. I do send money to programs that feed starving people in other countries and I donate food and money to programs here. I don't think anyone would walk by personally and let another starve. At least I pray not.

I am a Christian and I have no idea what you are talking about. I do know that out of 100 Christians, probably only 1 will truly strive to live a life truly focused on Christ. I hope you look to God and his word for answers regarding him, and not people. That way you will always find fault.

OK..there you go again. There are a great many ministries run and funded by Christians that feed, clothe and house mothers and infants. I know. I have given to them.
When I get through school, I will give to them again. My church collects and donates items for infants and mothers.
There are countless places in this world where nuns, think Mother Teresa, are the only thing between life and death for infants. (And I am not Catholic.)

What is the basis of your false accusation that Christians let babies starve? Shame on all you who answered buying into this unjustifiable lie. If you really hate Christians, why not blast them for something they actually do or believe? Why invent something this ridiculous?
