take travel cheques they are best if you lose your cash money
you have no insurance where as travel cheques are insured against loss
never give the asking price always haggle.... offer them half the price they say .....and soon you will both come to some agreement.
as for eating it is better for you to try a few your self, as what suits one person dose not suit another.
side has a lovely beach and the Turkish people are friendly
there is also a lot of history to side...with old roman buildings etc.
i hope you enjoy your holiday as much as i did.

I always have small bills on me when I haggle. To get the best price, use Euros or US dollars. Keep money all over your body, and even some with your boyfriend because one of the best ways to get a good deal is to pretend like you don't have that much money. If you pull out a huge stack of twenty's from your purse, you won't get that great of a deal. Don't be afraid to walk away if you don't like the price they offer. Most likely, they will chase you down and give you a better one. To make sure you are getting the best deal, do a little price checking in the same area.

As for places to eat, you can easily find cheap food along Divan Yolu Caddesi.

I just used my bank card and credit card. Make sure you have a 4 digit pin and a chequing account. It looks like people covered bargining but I didn't see anything there that was worth it. I went to the Cozy Pub quite a few times. They have a good mixed grill. It is about 2 blocks up from the Blue Mosque when you are heading toward the Grand Bazaar. Pretty much all the food is good there though it is jsut hard to order sometimes because of the language barrier.
