The DFI's quit listening to us a long time ago. Corporate America bought them off.

As an example, Idaho Senator Larry Craig voted positive for the recent amnesty bill because he was afraid deportation of the illegals would cause a hardship for American companies. Btw for those of you that think this is a blleding heart liberal thing, Craig is a good ol boy career Republican politician.

While what makes America special is the fact that we are 'the melting pot' of the world (we welcome other cultures and different views and ideas via immigration and opportunity), illegal immigration should NEVER be acceptable. What we want in immigrants are those who believe in a system of laws and are willing to follow those rules in finding their dreams. Illegal immigrants are people who are willing to break the law to get what they want. That attitude is contrary to the ideals that allow this nation to work and be the greatest nation on earth. The answer is to find quicker ways to allow good, law abiding people to come to America legally. We need these people for our economy, for their experiences, and fresh ideas. These people broaden our experiences and make us better people in the sharing.
Also, our political system needs to be re-thought - rampant corruption, voting contrary to their constituent's wishes, greed, short sightedness, etc. are just some of the problems with our representative type system. With the internet, more and more governmental choices can be placed directly in the hands of the citizenry. 'We the people' are not afraid to make politically sensitive decisions.

Even if it is a truely sad day. It has happened many times in the past. Illegal immigrints are routinley giving amnesty and allowed to become US citizens (about every 20-30 years) the only reason we hear about it now is because people in high places want it stopped, not started.

If America was made of people like you, I couldn't imagine why immigrints would want in anyway.

Surprising? What is surprising? I see nothing surprising about this at all. These guys don't look at themselves as fellow citizens, but some sort of ruling elite which exists as a layer on top of the society you and I live in.

If you want to surprise me, then find one person in this government who was responsible for sending our troops to Iraq who has a child in a war zone. You won't.

This isn't an anti-Bush comment. You won't find Kerry's, or Clinton's or Schumer's kids there either. They all voted to invade while they sip their martinis and chat with their children about how life is at Yale and Harvard. Life is good and peaceful and rich up there in that layer.

So.. your family evolved independently of the human race and sprang from American topsoil, voila, a true-blue homegrown American! We are all immigrants, every single one of us. That illegal immigration is a problem, this is obvious, that there is some political conspiracy to shield illegal immigrants, this is ridiculous. That immigrants are breaking the law, and your taxes are paying for it, not sure what you're on about, but sounds like redneck speak to me.

Some American patriots, calling themselves the minute man are getting support... as longas Americans keep standing up , and pushing aginst the pro-illegals , we might have a chance to secure our country.

Good point! Check out the surnames in the news lately. All the violent criminals have Spanish surnames.

Yes, you're right. I hate it. Also, it is sad and a mockery of justice when ILLEGALS get things that American citizens can't get in their own damn country! We should get rid of traitorous politicians.
