A dirty magazine? I'm not sure that's an apt comparison. It's more of a spiritual history, really. And the Episcopalian Church doesn't seem all that hateful, I'm pretty sure they're reading the same Book.

The Bible is the Word Of God. It is not a dirty magazine. Sounds like by the way you worded your question, I really don't know what kind of response you want so.....I will say this i am a christian my best friend of 20 years is a homosexual, I don't like the choices he has made for his life, i am not a homophobic, but i also do not JUDGE him for his life style, that is not my job it is God. He knows how i feel about homosexuality, and i know how he feels about homosexuality and we leave it at that. The Bible does not single out homosexuals. The Bible also tells us not to
steal, lie, cheat, kill, worship other gods, not to envy, not to have more than one wife, not to have sex with your mother, father, brothers, sister, uncle, aunt, not to have sex with the same sex and not to have sex with animals. God is Holy and he expects us to be holy also.----ella

Ask the question without a slant toward the answer you want and you might get a more reasonable response.
Yet - since you asked the question in the way you did (read it very carefully) - the answer is YES, because it LOOKS that way to YOU - then it IS what you say... however, if you want a legitimate and educated answer (which I don't think you really do) - then pose the question differently.

The old testement is a historical record of the line of David, birth line to the Christ. The new testement is a compilation of a few of the writings the greeks wanted to teach about 300 years after they killed Christ.

Oh my goodness this is a ridiculous question. I don't understand? Dirty magazine? What will you people come up with next? I feel sorry for you if you truly feel this way. God is a good thing and please don't try to turn the bible into something it's not. Even if you don't believe, there are people that do, so please don't ruin it for their sake.

A dirty magazine with no pictures? Sounds like a bit of a rip-off to me.

The Bible, whether you believe in God or not, is bascially a history book passed down. So if you get off on history books, good for you...

The Bible is one of the hardest books in the world to understand. It is to be used as a tool to guide us. It is filled with the truth. Jesus died on the cross to forgive us our sins. Believe or not its your future. God gave us free will, a choice, to believe or not to believe and that is your choice. I choose to believe. I have lost nothing by believing.
