You may have never heard of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is. That's ok. Just want to see what comes to mind. Just speak the truth. Speak what is really in your heart.

I could sum up my experience of the Bhagavad-gita thus: Dear Krishna, It appears that someone has poured nectar upon your words. When you speak, it appears as if the universe is dancing in ecstacy, embracing each syllable in order to suck out that immmortal sweetness. To my surprise, this only makes that nectar even sweeter, and my heart overflows with joy. Thus, I cannot find the words to hold your sweetness, but rather I float, absorbing as much as I can.

Lovely book. I've browsed it, owned several copies (because it's got gorgeous pictures), and plan on reading it entirely sometime soon, because my religious group has an interest in the life of Krishna.

However, I think it would've gotten a better reception in English-speaking countries if they'd translated the title along with the rest of it.

BOOK of MYTHS...

well, my frnd... bhagavad gita originally from sanskrit... still the slogans were in sanskrit... there were still controversy... of switching the slogans into other languages and used in the temple.. is this right??... well... it is said to be written by ariyan... who played a major role in making foundation for castism.. do u agree my friend.!!!!

well still now... brahmins were considered to be the highest.. well the life of other caste were still pathetic... do u agree.. this gita was only been allowed to read by the higher caste.. they were also restrict the lower caste to enter into the temple...

but in reality to all the veda(s).. there were no caste in it... do u agree... if u really believe in this... can u fight for the rights of the lower caste people (which still exists)... who has been abused by the higher caste..

i dont have any hesitation in this.. as a christian.... who were considered to be backward class... i dont believe in the vedas or anything... which cannot releave me from my sins... but i found my Saviour Christ has SAVED me from my SINFUL LIFE...
