That's a really good analogy! But it doesn't come close to the sadistic, visciously cruel, Christian God that is portrayed in the Bible! If God exists, and I don't believe in God, the very first book of the Bible, Genesis is a perfect example of CONDITIONAL LOVE, and NOT the kind of love that a parent would have for his/her children, if he/she had a heart or a conscience!! What a pile of rubbish!! And yes, the analogy fits, but only if the 7-year-old God had a magnifying glass to "play" with his ants!!

God cannot be 7 years old! Judging by the Bible his grammar suggests he is at least 14. Also the ant thing? I personally do not work half as hard as an ant, and I can't even lift my body weight. If you mean this in a MYSTICAL/SPIRITUAL sense my answer is...... maybe...

If it were, perhaps it would be like a larger ant hill in the middle of a playground full of 7 year olds. Some have an interest in us, some don't. The kids come and go as they please, some will watch, some will think we're "icky", some will put crumbs down for us, some will pour water on us, etc.
Interesting analogy. Is my polytheism showing again? :^)

First off, it's an antHILL, not an antHIVE. Bees have hives :)
But if there is a God, then probably yes, he's more like the dorky science-fair winner who creates worlds and creatures and then sets them loose to see what chaos will happen.

No! We are the fleas on a squirrel, after the squirrel is squashed. Nobody even thinks about the fleas.
At least the ants get some sympathy/attention.

No, definetly not! God loves us a lot and he would not just be messing around with our lives just for fun. All his actions serve a greater purpose and although we don't know what it is, he does. He put all of us here for a reason not just to play with us. We disobeyed him and if we were meant only to play with, he would have destroyed long ago. Hope this helps... I'll be prayin' for ya!

No, that is not what I experience. I used to, but I don't anymore. Now I know that God is a great teacher who loves us through all of our choices and hopes in us to learn to love one another, and in the last place, to learn to love God. God is complete humility. God expects nothing from us, desires everything from us and holds in in His/Her thought every second. Read the mystics: Maria Valtorta & learn for yourself.
