Recently I have been pretending to be a minister (I am not in reality) and have been baptising people (for a fee). The fee varies depending on how much a can trick the people into giving me. Is this bad - would jesus disaprove.

Do you want to be baptised?

When Marx said "Religion is the opium of the people", he was'nt lying. Truely are so convincing that people would actually let you baptised them and pay a fee? My God, these people are desparate for their salvation. And you have taken full advantage of that.
But to answer your question:-
1) Its morally wrong to do that in the name of "God or Jesus christ"
2) Its also wrong and against the law. A typical con practise. You can be jailed if authorites find out. Then again maybe you baptised one.

First and foremost, what possessed you to do such a thing? Im sorry but that wrong as hell. Second, i never heard any minister charging people to get baptised. Third, you better put your life on it that Jesus disapproves. You need to ask fro forgiviness ASAP, man. Plus how the hell didnt the people you baptised didnt know that baptism is free???? This is sick

LOL!!! Either start your own church or you will be baptising a lot in prison. If you say, you are the Minister of a certain group or church then it is wrong. Then you are impersonating. Then again, you are not any worse than the "real" ministers. It is all a matter fo belief and faith.

Hahahahaha lol this is seriously good. It just shows you how gullible and desperate some people are.
Sod the newly baptised for being so needy in the first place and fair play to you for a remarkable bit of creative commerce.

I like it.

Hie thee to the Universal Life Church website at http://www.ulc.org/?destination=ordination and become a minister, so that you can *legitimately* baptise all those people and not have to lie to them.

"For ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you
and ordained you before the foundation of the earth."
(John 15:16)

After being ordained by the Universal Life Church, its ministers are free to carry on their ministry as they feel God directs them. They are authorized to perform all religious services including the rites of marriage and baptism. They have all the legal rights of any minister of any church or religious organization.

I think all responders to this question need to ask themselves if the person posing the question is putting them on. The language style used in writing this question suggests the author already knows their guilt of their alleged wrongs. I propose that this is not a real question based on actual events, but an attempt to get people riled up.

That is SOOOOOOOO wrong, how can you pretend to be a minister, you are completly taking advantage if trusting people. You know that if somebody finds your seceret you can go go to jail, have to pay restitution, and pay court fines. Then you will really be in hard times! May God be with you and ask for forgivness. NOW!

Morally its wrong from your side, but technically its nothing wrong.
If people whom you baptised, think they are baptised, its alright. . there is nothing wrong. Afterall, they got what they wanted. I think any religious ritual aims at bringing some kind of belief in people and you got it in those people.
Nope I dont want to be baptised, mine is different belief.

That's funny! Your smart! But sorry I am baptized already.

P.S. We are not the ones who can say you are going to Hell or that Jesus is mad at you. How does anyone know? They have no right to say stuff like that. They are NOT Jesus or God, so they do NOT have any right to tell you that you are condemned or that you are wrong in what you are doing. (mainly towards Roxton P)
