The most prominent theory is that Jesus spoke Aramaic as His common, everyday language. That has started to come in dispute. Hebrew is beginning to favored by scholars, although not completely in the academic community.

As far as how people can understand what was said, there are many excellent translators who understand what the manuscripts say.

For example, the Hebrew Bible was translated into Greek in Alexandria, Egypt by 70 Hebrew scholars about 300 years before Christ. This Greek translation, known as the Septuagint, can be compared with the Hebrew, confirming the translation, and then written into the language of your choice.

Salvated? LOL.

Jesus would probably have spoken Greek and Arameic... IF he existed. Modern biblical scholarship makes a very strong case that he did NOT exist.

Most of the ordinary people running around in that area, at that time, spoke Arameic. Educated people also spoke Greek.

Jesus spoke Aramaic and Hebrew, but also probably some Greek and Latin. Regarding salvation - you have to rely on second and third hand accounts of his life, with copying, translations and adjustments through history.

Probably spoke several languages, I think, besides Aramaic. He was Jewish and would have been taught Hebrew and since he moved around before he began preaching, he probably was in contact with other nationalities and would have had a working vocabulary. Besides I believe since he was the Son of God, he would have had the knowledge he needed to communicate with anyone verbally. He knew about the life of the woman at the well when she hadnt spoken, and he was just passing through. His disciples came from a varied background also and would have been able to help if he had needed it. But I think he may not have needed their help, they called him Teacher. If you believe he was who he said he was, you can believe he could talk to anyone who would be willing to listen. Even today.

Jesus spoke Arameus. Don't you worry about that. The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, each time She appears, She speaks in the language of the people where She was.
To the Indian Juan Diego, She spoke in his language. To Bernardette Soubirous, She spoke in the dialect that Bernardette spoke, ( not in French ) and a friend of mine told me that he heard in Spain, the voice of the Virgin, speaking with Spanish accent

He spoke Aramaic as his main language and probably Hebrew in order to read the Torah.

The bible has been translated into hundreds of languages. Or if you mean on more levels than language, try talking to your minister.

Jesus The Christ IS God... language is no handicap to Him. Any hearing Him Knew what he was saying. As will you one day... oh yes you will... we all will... at the judgment of the believers or at the judgment of those who reject Him.
