O.K. I am writing my thesis right now, I am way to busy for a vacation because I'll be moving to Paris (where don't have an apartment yet.) Still, I keep on thinking about a short trip to L.A. which rationally does not make sense. Not only because I'm busy but also because it's expensive. But I want to visit UCLA - to see whether I would like to try to get into the PHD-Programm, I have a friend living in San Diego who I haven't seen for a long time and last but not least I would just like to see Beverly Hills and Hollywood. And no, I'm not over my Jeff Goldblum crush yet.

This is what I say, if you have a will, you have a way. Do what your heart desires or you may very possibly regret it later on.

i would say if u have the money then ya. but if u wanna go to ucla stay in a hotel on the outskirts or like by lax. if u wanna go to hollywood i would stay in a city like burbank because it is most likly gonna be cheaper (still expensive but cheaper it is usually more expensive to fly into the burbank airport, but it is a smaller ezier airport to get around in). But Hollywood is definatly not as glamourous as it seems!! seriously!! Yes, there are fun things to do (i live here i kno!) but there is also a lot of trash and homeless people. You don't see celebrities walking down Hollywood Blvd. or Melrose. And i have seen numerous celebrities but not in places that u would expect. Hollywood San Diego is about two hours away from la and if u wanna see ur friend then go ahead but i would put a whole day aside for that. Beverly Hills is nice, but very ritzy it fun to go and walk around and occasionally buy stuff. but i would go to ucla if u only have time for one thing.

Chasing you dreams means sometimes giving up one thing for the other. Just way your options. If you are moving to Paris how were you planning on going to UCLA. And if you go to Paris how long will you be there. You just have to think carefully. And call your friend in San Diego, since you haven't talked to them in a long time...people change and this may not be the kind of person that like for old friends to pop up unexpectedly.

It does make sense! It's something you want to do, so do it and get it out of your system.

San Diego is at least 2 hours from Los Angeles. UCLA is in Westwood, which is very close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

Come out for a long weekend, stay at a cheap hotel, rent a car and have FUN!

you have one life to live, I say go for it.. reach for the stars.
Don't let anything hold you back, if you don't spend the money
on your dream or a trip, you will spend it elsewhere and wonder where
it went,, go any enjoy... you never know what is waiting ahead of you
