what do i need to do to get a avi format burned on to dvd to watch on my ps2 i have tryed and burnt up several dvdr s trying help?

Does your ps2 support the avi file type? if not, you would want to get a file conversion software, a really great one is "super fever" off of download.com (enter super fever in the search terms) then, drag the avi file into the conversion software and select the file type that your ps2 plays and convert it. Then burn the converted file. Also, if file extensions are not showing on your computer then it is possible that this file has already been converted and is in another format. If you open my documents and click on the "tools" menu, select "folder options" and make sure there is NO checkmark beside "hide known file extensions". When you convert the file, the new file name will be orignalname.avi.vob, where vob is the file extension you have chosen, this will likely play on your ps2 as this is the file extension for store purchased dvd's. PS2 cannot read DVD-R or DVD-RW discs...unless you have a hacked PS2

In which case, might I suggest you need to change the avi format, since PS2 DVD player does not recognize that format...I suggest you use Nero to change it for you

You have to find a program that can convert your AVI to DVD that can watch on DVD player, but it take a long time on the conversion.

u need to download psp video 9, it allows u to convert any movie format to play on ur psp
