As far as I know a driving licence is not required to visit Eire.

Some airlines require a passport.
Ring your airline.

Don't call the country Éire unless you're speaking Irish - it sounds silly. The name of the country in English is Ireland.

Check with the airline you are flying with. Different airlines have different regulations. It also depends where you are flying from. I think Ryanair will let you fly from the UK to Ireland with a driving license but you will need to double check this.

If you're flying from Great Britain , by law you don't need a passport but if you're flying with Ryanair you'll still need one. From anywhere else you need a passport.
