It depends. Are you proclaiming Satan and God? or just Satan. If just Satan then yes. Satan himself believes in God. but if you are proclaiming both, then no. No man can serve two masters- it says so in the Bible.

Even satan believes in God. So you can be a satanist and believe in God. The issue becomes, who will you choose to follow? You can believe in God, but follow satan. For example, I'm Christian, and I certainly believe in satan, but that doesnt mean I follow him. He's bad.

btw, satanism is a religion, so you do believe in religion. God doesn't require you to be religious, either. He wants you to have a relationship with Him. Be His friend. Talk with Him. Hang out with Him. You don't need religion.

Who are you going to choose? This is an easy one.

God is good.

Satan is bad.

Choose one.

I think being a satanist REQUIRES a belief in god. You can't have one w/out the other.

Why do you have to be anything (the satanism route is a little extreme)?

You can believe in god and not believe in organized religion. These concepts are NOT linked in any way.

Faith is way different than religion. Religion you requires to believe in their dogma--that include satanism. Faith just requires that you believe in what make sense to you.

If a Christian or Muslim believes in Satan, why shouldn't a Satanist believe in God? The fact that you worship one doesn't mean that you don't believe the other exists. Of course, you don't have to believe in both. By the way, you can believe in God and not subscribe to any religion; such believers usually say, "I'm not religious. I'm spiritual".

Easy multiple choice question:

God = Good
Satan = Bad

Pick one. Just pick the right one, which would be God. Satan was cast out of heaven by God. He trembles at even His name. Satan is merely a fallen angel who deserves no credit except for the misery and evil he casts onto others and encourages between us.

If a Satanist is trying to convince you that they're just really another 'denomination' or something else - they are leading you down a path of darkness. If you have faith in God and goodness, then becoming a Satanist is the most abhorrent contradiction to that.

You are walking a dangerous path, turn back now before it is too late. I will pray for you that you will find the light of Jesus and that Mary, his mother, will guide you to him. I am genuinely frightened for your eternal soul.

I will pray for you. May God bless you and keep you from turning to evil.

I believe that all Satanist believe in God but don't worship him. That is the only difference that I can see. Cause even satan believes in God but wants to be God himself.

I think belief in God's existence is required for Satanism. I don't know of any Satanists cults/sects that think God does not exist but still believes Satan does.

i read that a Satanist doesn't believe in God or the Devil...rather they believe in (basically) what come around goes around....again, it was a while when I read it...I am certain though; they do NOT believe in Satan.

any Satanist's out there? Am I way off base? I'd be interested in hearing if I was.

I would only make sense. Satan himself believes in God. But I guess I would wonder why you would want to be a satanist...?

satanism is a religion. and seeing as how satan is a christian invention, you pretty much are required to believe that god exists, considering how the religion says satan was an angel created by god.
