it has 100,000 miles on it, but the couple took really good care of it, and they were the only owners. They traveled a lot. But I bought a warranty and everything. It drives really nice and so far everything works. I hope I got a good car.

i think you paid too much, but these cars are much improved and you will probably still be driving it 5-8 years from now if you properly maintain it remember that a good shop and not low bucking the repairs with cheapo parts is the key to long life for any car.

Good luck with your warranty . I bought an extended warranty on mine . The dealer had my car from 6/30 to 7/8 and the problem it was towed for was "undiagnosed " because they were unable to "duplicate the problem". I had no problem duplicating the problem- it didn't start the very next day . We checked around and found out that we should jump start it & drive it to an auto parts store where they tested a few things & narrowed down the problem .I also tape recorded the noise when the car would not start , so I can play it for those "experts" at the Hyundai dealership. Mine runs fine ; and did the first 2 & 1/2 weeks I had it . In a year it has been in for countless repairs . I would not recommend a Hyundai under any circumstances. My 2002 stopped dead in traffic WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING.

I had the same model. It was a great car! Enjoy it. Back in the early 90's the Hyundai was riddled with problem. They REALLY got their act together, slapped a fantastic warrantee on their product and are now producing a car much superior to anything GM can offer.

As much as people like to make fun of Korean cars... Hyundai sonata is a pretty good car, I've only had them as rentals but they're great, don't break down, drive great and if you have a warranty your set.

The asian cars have proven to be very reliable, solid automobiles. As with any car or truck....it will will only be as good as the maintenance performed on it. Regular oil changes at the proper intervals and the changing of air and fuel filters will make the car run better and last longer. Spend the money to maintain it....before you have to spend it to repair it.
