That's a good Question i dated a single mom once and every thing went great, but sometimes the child could get jealous of you spending time with his or her mom. The child could feel left out especially if the mom hasn't dated in a while. I say try it. It can make you grow up and kids are great to play with

Why don't you just go ask her out? So what if she has a child, that don't make her a bad person. It might not have been her fault that her other relationship didn't work out. You already said that you like her, take her out a couple of times and you will see. Just got to keep in mind now that she does have that son and you get her, he is part of the deal.

Of course, u should go for it , chances are she and the kid have been through a lot and could use u. But don't go into this thinking well if i like her i Willl date and if i don't i wil just let her go, she has been through enough and having some guy come in and say lets go out i like u then say well i don't any more so good bye, that would be horrible.
so go for it, but consider what i have said.

use extreme caution.........particularly if you should get serious.
you must think of what kind of relationship you might have with the child.
does your values and morals compliment one anothers?
how do you differ in your views towards chores,finances,etc.
once you've analyzed all of this and have found that these areas can be worked out then and only then should you consider a serious relationship.
if it's just a booty call type thing(friends w/benefits) then do yer thang!
just be truthful w/her.

they're nice women. date her! im sure her son would be thrilled to have a father-like figure in his life. even if he weren't permanent.
