Usually they will run around $200-$400. Sometimes you can find them for $50 and some as high as $700. It just depends on the breeder.

Hundreds of purebred pit bull puppies get put down in each state every day. Check your local animal shelter. If pit bulls are legal in your county, you should be able to adopt a spayed/neutered and full vaccinated pit bull puppy for under $150.
Google your local pit bull rescue or bully breed rescue as well.
Make sure you think this decision through. What will you do with the dog if you break up, or if he doesn't want the responsibility of having a dog? Because pits are bully breeds, giving up a pit to a shelter is usually a death sentence, regardless of temperment. Don't go into adoption naively! Research all aspects before getting an animal that relies on you for care.

It depends on the lines. I would watch out for Pit Bulls in newspaper ads, they only cost $200-300, but they usually aren't quality dogs. I would suggests rescue, but if you are looking to buy from a breeder check out the UKC's website http://www.ukcdogs.com for Pit breeders. They are a very large kennel club and they have regulations their advertised breeders must follow. That kind of dog will run anywhere from $800-$1500 and maybe more.

Full blood? It is rare to find those, but you can get one at a pretty good price from a rescue.If you get one from a rescue it is all checked over and given shots. Do research on the breed. It can be wonderful, but spay/nueter it and socialize and train it well. If your boyfriend is planning on gettting one to look cool, tell him to get a leather jacket instead. They are not a breed for everyone and make sure you are not buying from the assholes who fight them.

There are thousands in shelters all over, and can be had for the cost of shots and spay/neuter (which you should do anyway). Save one from euthanasia, and don't contribute to breeding more animals than there are responsible owners.

depends what color you want? on average in the missouri are is $200 if you want a blue one the cost a lot more pit bulls are also alot of work they need constant supervison make sure this is the right dog for him
