The CORRECT price range is $45 to $180.
Items that will effect price:
-How many the breeder has left
-How old they are
-If they are hand fed (this is the better type)
-Color mutation of the bird
-If the breeder is a member of the Nation Cockatiel Society
-Age
-If it is a breeder or pet store (stores are usually more expensive, and not worth what you get ):
-If the bird has been to the vet
The least expensive of the price range are those that are not hand fed, but socialized. They can be good pets, but hand fed parrots are have generally a better reputation. Sometimes you can get a "steal" for a Cockatiel for $45.oo, but these tend to be just Regular Greys that are parent raised. The expensive end are the Whitefaces, especially the elusive Double-Mutation Lutino Whiteface, or, more commonly misconstrued, the Albino. There are also some that may bridge the price of $200.oo. These "rarer" colors include the Pastel Face, Yellow Face, Emerald, Silver and the Platinum- and crosses of these mutations therein. This can also include visual differences, like being pied or pearly.

cockatiels and cockatoo's are often mistaken. A cockatiel is a smaller bird that is usually grey or yellow. They usually cost around 75 - 150 dollars. Depending on the bird itself. A Cockatoo is a big white bird and they will run you in the 1000's.

Between $150-$500, depending on the color. If you get one through a bird rescue, the cost is about $50-$150.

I think it might depend on where you buy it from. I have a cockatiel but we got it from a friend but I have gone to pet stores and they cost around 100 dollars but it probably depends on the store...

Most hand fed cockatiels of normal coloration are priced at around $100-$125
If you wanted a colored one that was hand fed the price is higher.
A parent raised normal colored cockatiel is around $65
A colored parent raised cockatiel is around a $125
I hope this helps

There are different kinds of Cocktaiel birds, so it depends on what kind you want. They could start by $200.00 $100.00, $75.00, $60.00 and I believe the minimum is $55.00.
So check this link and it would tell you all about different prices. Cocktaiel are fun animals, I have one of my own and she brings so much joy to this home with her different sounds.
So enjoy your bird when you get one. Don't forget to check this link:
