First of all, don't sweat! Take care of the psoriasis! In the very, very, very rare case of alopecia--a sort of autoimmune-based hair loss--sometimes the hair will regrow after it falls out. If not, then do some research on hair replacement. I couldn't determine from mine limited research (like about 10 mins. ago!) whether you can regrow donated hair, like from a parent.
I will be thinking good thoughts for your daughter. I have three daughters myself, so I understand.

I am really sorry to hear that your daughter is suffering from this, especially as scalp psoriasis is so hard to treat :o( I hope the derm can help you but I would highly recommend cocois coconut oil compound, which helps to remove the plaques from the scalp, and then it is easier to treat the scalp itself. I am not sure if you can get it without a prescription though.
You may find this site a comfort to you as it is for people with skin disorders and their families. There are over 10 thousand members and a high proportion of them also have psoriasis.

I have atopic dermatitis;it got into my scalp and my hair started falling out, too. It was past my waist and I ended up cutting it off(very short). There was nothing the dermatologist could do in my case. There maybe something the dermatologist can do, in your daughter's case(steroid injections to the scalp)but there may not be.Your daughter is going to have to get a nice hair cut and wait for her hair to grow long again.
Sometimes, with these skin conditions, patients can develop very mild cases of alopecia areata(hair stops growing and falls out). The scalp regenerates hair growth on it's own when it's ready.

The hair is not just a part of your body and it is a symbol of beauty, status and health. It is important for you to take proper care of your health in order to prevent early hair loss. Learn here https://bitly.im/aMwEm It is not a very serious problem and with a little bit of caution you will be able to prevent further hair loss. There are certain uncontrollable factors like pregnancy conditions or certain illness or genetic factors that will result in hair loss. But, this does not mean that you cannot do something about your hair loss.

You are doing all the right things.
All I would say is, try to reduce as much stress as you can in your life and your daughter's life.
Stress does make this condition worse.
Read Louis Hay "You can heal your life" - it helped me.
Try to relax together. Have a cuddle and listen to your favourite relaxing music. Light a scented candle. Chill out.
I hope this is of help, I know this condition is very distressing.
