I think puffed rice is a good idea. To the people that want birdseed thrown- who wants birdseed thrown at their wedding? Screw the birds your screwing your marriage.

That's cute, but as rice is thrown to insure fertility no rice is need. Fertility has already be proven.

Throw whatever you want. It makes no difference if she's prego or not. I had bird seed thrown at mine and I was 5 months prego. I choose bird seed cause it isn't harmful to the birds. I love animals.
