This latest crash was a running off the runway...that usually comes down to poor pilot decision making/poor training rather than an aircraft fault.
Overall...it's amongst the most dangerous airspace in the world.
Also as mentioned earlier, kids from the outlying areas ie: Irkutsk etc are often sent to large urban centers like Moscow for their education education and this results in plane loads of children flying vast distances.

Well most plane crashes seem to happen in Russia (ok not most, but the ones you are reffering to). And it is a tradition in Russia for school children to go away on holiday in huge school groups where they occupy most of the plane, and unfortunately the schools hire cheap airlines with poor maintenance records because it's the only way they can afford to do it.
