Sounds like you didn't find out about it before you purchased it.
It's friendly, easy-going, and ideal for small living spaces.
It is an active dog that likes to play, is fearless, and likes to go for walks also.
Hope you have the medical history on the pup because they are prone to heart problems. Make sure you get it to a Vet for shots, worming, and heartworm medication.
The dog originated from the US/Great Britain in 1925, its life expectancy is 9-1 yrs.

You should read some great books on training before you start having problems. (Try not to pick books randomly - there are a lot of bad books out there also!) These are some of my favorites and you can get them on Amazon.com

My sister and I were " Cavvie" breeders briefly a few years ago. After 3 litters of puppies we sold all except the father. "Cavvies" are so cute, but need lots of love and training. They have about a 10 or 11 year lifespan. They are very loyal to their "people" and even though they are sweet tempered, they can be aggressive if someone tries to hurt their person or property. I would recommend buying and reading a book made for "Cavvies" to find out what you are in store for. Our male dog's name is "Windsor" and he is great. He is learning to sit up and beg and he loves playing "hide n seek". Be careful when you walk these dogs and keep them on leashes because they love to roam and may not come back when called if they get loose...Good luck with your baby....Our male is a Blenheim ( brown and white) with a thumb print on his head. We have kept him in tack in case someone wants to breed with him. He comes from the best bloodlines. His parents are from England. If you want a good lap dog, this one is it...Mine used to wrap himself around my neck...Let me know if I can be of anymore help!
