US Americans are only being human. They help themselves first. If you need labor and there is cheap labor on the corner...that's where you go. It's cheap and available. Otherwise, you might have to reference around and find a highschool kid or an ex con or a newly arrived LEGAL immigrant to do the work. It's possible. I do it all the time now. No illegal help.
Our country and system is set up to help ANYONE who is here and needs help. What graciousness this shows our country to make available to visitors etc and citizens alike.
Think of it as being bitten by one, little mosquito. A bit of blood and a small irritating itch. No biggy. But imagine a football stadium size room filled with hungry mosquitos ...all sucking your blood. You'd be reduced to a writhing, sack of skin filled with bones, in short order.
That is what is happening in the USA with the illegas that come here and use our system. We either gotta stop being gracious with anyone who isn't here legally, or we gotta stop letting illegals in, or a bit of both. I personally would like to see America remain gracious and inviting to all. To do that, we need to stop and remove the illegals. That is the best for America today and for all that would come here legally, tommorrow. That is good for the USA and for the World immigrants that would come here legally and with proper intent.

I have a surprise for you --most soldiers who have come back--know why they were there-look on the web there are a ton of letters.

What do you know about Vietnam?-3 of my brothers were there and one was shot in the head and survive. And many I know went. Quit spouting what you know nothing about personally.

A true letter;
One of my sons serves in the military. He is stationed stateside, here
in California. He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and
welcoming people were to him and his troops everywhere they go.
Telling me how people shake their hands and thank them for being
willing to serve and fight, not only our own freedoms but so that
others may have them too.

Then he told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at
yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that several people
were in the line ahead of him, including a woman dressed in a burkha.

He said when she got to the cashier r, she made a loud remark about the
U.S. Flag, lapel pin, the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached
up and touched the pin and said, "Yes, I always wear it proudly, because
I'm an American."

The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to
stop bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi.

Then, a Gentleman standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his
arm around my son's shoulders and nodding toward my son, said in a
calm and gentle voice to the Iraqi woman: Lady, hundreds of thousands of
men and women like this young man have fought and died so that YOU could
stand here, in MY country and accuse a check-out cashier of bombing YOUR
countrymen. It is my belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR own
country , we wouldn't need to be there today. But, hey, if you have now
learned how to speak out so loudly and clearly, I'll gladly buy you a ticket
and pay your way back to Iraq, so you can straighten out the Mess
in YOUR country, that you are obviously here in MY country to avoid."

Oh you know 1-I know thousands-want to compare!!! I help them with their medical for years -besides half of my friends-but you know 1- excuse we that tells it all.

No need to get huffy.

the immigration debate comes up every 20 years or so. it looks like we're right on schedule. it's already starting to pass.

the Iraq war *was* intended to help the US, which is why every American petroleum company was rejoicing when Bush decided to attack.

unfortunately taxpayers will be footing the bill for generations to come.

None of that has anything to do with the ILLEGAL CRIMINALS that come across our border and continually break our laws and have no respect for anyone.

US blacks live off welfare, get free housing...what else do you want? Legals are the ones who create all the problems, not hardworking timid immigrants.

Hey I agree with you there.... No one appreciates our, so let them fight it out amongst themselves. Next time there is a huge earthquake, or war, or anything like that, they can fend for themselves.
