Do christians honestly believe that there was a man called Methuzela who lived to be 900 years old????

That is nearly as crazy as noahs ark or jonah and the big fish!!!!

Even with todays healthcare people are very lucky to make it to 100. He must have have good health insurance!

Yes. Methuzela was closer to perfection than we are today. Adam lived to be 930. In the book of Genesis it give details about the ages of people when they died. Its interesting to note how the further away each generation got from Adam, the shorter their lifespan became. Only recently in this technologically advanced age has the human lifespan increased a little...but we all still die and will continue to do so until God decides otherwise.

1656 + 350 years after the flood, Noah died in year 2006, Gen.9:28,29; At age 950.

Shem age 98 at time of flood , and age 600 at death, died 25 years before Abraham died. Methuselah wasn't the only person to live such a long life you know.

And by todays standards, duh. But look at it from another point of view. Back then, no pollution, better diet, required exercise. Its not a myth people used to live longer, its a scientific certainty also.
