you are exactly RIGHT!!! So the question really is......is there a GOD? and if so, Who is God? I know that you are not God, and because you are a man like me, I know that I am not god.....and when I read and meet other people...I realize that they are not god either! Then when I read books about people, I see that they too are mere humans.....wait, exept one. There was this one guy, who did a whole bunch of miracles, he claimed to be the son of God...and that he and the father are one. He was then KILLED on the cross by people like you and me who felt that a man of flesh and bone cannot be GOD......but that man came back from the dead...came back after 3 days! No one in the history of the world can claim that! No other religeon has a savior like that! So, based on that, I will believe in that man! I will believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! Now, unless one of you can die....and then come back in three days, there's nothing more to talk about!

Roy, you are not sure if you believe there is a God. Right?
Why do you question God's existence?
If there is a creation there is a creator. Just look at the intelligence of nature. The order of things in nature is amazing, like the food chain for example. Also the fact that plants get their nutrients from the soil and the sun (elements that cannot be created by men)
I disagree with you, Roy, that there is no right or wrong.
We, humans, are born with a sense of what is right and wrong. And this "feature" is for our own safety. Authority was instituted by God - for the same reason - our own safety.
I am no one to tell you to live by men's rules, but I can tell you that rules are there for a good reason, to keep you from dying too young.

Your logic is water-tight. You are closer to the Kingdom of Heaven than some who profess to believe but don't.
The reason that the world is invested in Evolution/Naturalism/Secular Humanism is because of precisely what you are talking about; if there is no God, if the Bible isn't true in what it says, then I am free to decide for myself what is right and true. After all I'm just an accident, the argument would go. And there's nothing else after all this, so I should just go for the gusto and do what I want, and if man's rules don't suit me, I'll just live by my own rules.
But here's the difference. God is real, the Bible is true in its history, and what you have been taught in school is a provable myth. Now if I am correct, all of a sudden we are accountable to the morality of the Bible. Which, interestingly enough, is what our legal system is based on.
So it is no wonder you wish to disobey the laws of man, because they are based on the laws of God, which man has taught you for 12 years of your life doesn't exist.
I would challenge to to consider the idea that God does exist, despite what you have been taught. The concrete monument to evolution you have been taught, is, upon further examination, a stack of cards.

You should feel that you have chosen to be a part of your society and therefor willingly agree that the law of the land is basically in everybody's best interest. If you don't feel that way you should go elsewhere. If you want to live in a place with no adherence to laws and government then go experience life in one of these places and you will be able to answer your own question. People do not follow government figures because they think they are god. Nobody should follow anybody for that reason.

You live in a society (wherever) and as such are subject to its rules whether you like it or not. It is easier to get the rules changed in some societies than others. You can choose to disobey the rules but then you have to live with the consequences. The fact that god is not real has no bearing on this whatsoever- the rules of society are ultimately enforced by human strength (police, army etc). You of course are free to consider yourself your own god (no doubt lots of disturbed people do) but that means nothing as you are still constrained by the rules imposed by your society - no exceptions for self-appointed deities, unless you have the power to back it up. Otherwise, your divineness, I'm afraid you'll just have to get in the line with everybody else.

If there really was no God, then yes, you would just have to be your own God. There would be no truth higher than yourself, and you would be able to manipulate existence at will, to your liking. The men who claim there is no higher truth are totally hypocritical when they try to tell you what to do, because they assert there's no right or wrong. If you try to follow the atheistic point of view to its natural conclusion, you'll be hushed down and discredited. It's a flawed idea.

i drifted off for awhile and things just when totaly down hill for me. but i bounced back and i bounced up further in my relationship with God more than ever. things got A LOT better and i don't ever intend on going back again.
He has proven him self to me and to the world. all it takes is for you to love him back. you have to listen and truly believe him.

Laws are made to protect people. Religion had always had laws in all of them. Most of it are like the laws in the Bible or other Holy books. Now try to go against the law of any land, and you will end up in jail if caught. And is that what you want? end in jail? Forget hell for the meantime... just obey the laws of the land.. it will not land you in jail if you do so
AND it might also earn you heaven one day when you die ...who knows!!!

If you believe there is no God, then it's up to you to figure life out on your own. Why ask other people?
Also, just because you think there is no God, that doesn't mean there is no right and wrong. Human decency does exist.

That is called anarchy, and humans long ago decided to trade infinite freedom do to as one pleases for the safety and security of organized and governed societies. As long as you live within a society you will be punished for not following the rules of said society. Just because their is no hell as a consequence doesn't mean their aren't mortal consequences for your actions.
