i always drive on the left lane, there i feel like i own the world because all the sport cars have to slow down behind me and
i feel i am sooo important there. then i feel safer,as i dont have to pay attention to the slow traffic(so many idiots there..ops) and i think you got the answer.
btw, i try never to block the traffic too much, I go as fast as i can, up to 30 miles per hour at times..but when i am tired.
yes , i drive a bicycle,of course..hahahaha.

Just the other day I was driving home from work and I was on the highway driving about 70 in the middle lane. There was an old lady in the left lane and she could not have been going over 55. Directly behind her was a cop and a huge line behind him. Everyone was honking there horns and going around her. Do people really not have enough common sense to know if you want to drive that slow get the right lane? I guess my question would be can someone get pulled over for going too slow and holding up traffic???? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The passing lane is for passing. Not for using cruise control or for you to decide that you want to hold up traffic because your 20 year old car can not go as fast as the car in the right lane.
For the gentleman who said he slows down when someone speeds up to his bumper is breaking the law by slowing down.
You are not to hinder any driver from passing you or anybody else by reducing or increasing your speed in the passing lane or the driving lane.
My father is a chief of police and will give tickets to drivers for driving in the passing lane and hindering people from utilizing it for its intended purpose.
Food for thought.

when you're concerning utilising interstate or 4-lane by skill of a city, automobiles stay interior the left lane because a million. they're many times passing by skill of. 2. smaller automobiles who're 'in a hurry' are entering into and exiting the right lane. those smaller automobiles do not have time to let automobiles to bypass over, so as that they in simple terms stay there. automobiles not often block or run facet by using facet till coming up on a damage or structure the position a lane is ending. those smaller automobiles who do not have time to get in line, reduce round to the front by using the handfuls. automobiles will block them to let the purely open lane and the people who've been patiently waiting to be first in line.

Its as though they never read the road rules!
Sometimes we underpass those stubborn drivers so we can get past the traffic hold up they create. I (or my passenger) often give the driver a hard questioning steer - many look back with a blank completely oblivious look on their face - perhaps they dont have rear vision mirrors!

They wanted to pass at first and think after wards that they are driving too fast and gets scared of getting pulled over. Some kind of deeper psychological issue?

Remember, the left lane is a PASSING lane, not a FAST lane. I generally drive the speed limit; after all, it is the LAW! However, if I need to pass I will use the passing lane. If you zoom up on my bumper while I am in the process of passing guess what? I SLOW down. Then I SLOOOW down some more until you back off or go around. I dont let anyone push me around. Go ahead, smash into me, push me with your bumper, I dont care. My place in heaven is secure.
Bottom line, If someone in front of you is in your way you have 3, no 4 choices: slow down, go around, ram them, shoot them!
Why not leave in time to get to where you are going without a deadly confrontation?

Because some people are stupid and selfish and don't realize that they are causing a danger on the road.
