I was reading a magazine that recommended the use of instant spray shampoo to lengthen the time between shampoos. Has anyone used instant spray shampoo and have you had an luck with it?

I used an instant spray shampoo once after a long night at the club and an early work day. It's not a cleaning spray, it's more of a Febreze for hair... it absorbs hair odors, but doesn't do much else. It's good if you smoke cigarettes or are around food smells all day and want to mask the odor - but nothing beats a good shampoo.

I hope this helps.

Mom says that was out in the 1970s, by Clairol, called Psssssst Instant Spray Shampoo. Back then, people were just starting to wash their hair during every shower - before that some just washed it once a week YUK. She says it was kind of powdery - just made the hair LOOK less oily.

never tried it, but I would think that would be gross in a way...not washing your hair in all.
