Can Men have courage without faith? Intense courage without some sort of fundamental belief in anything. Is it even possible for a man to exist without any faith whatsoever, be it in a certain God or in Oneself, or in the government or in their spouse or peers, or general faith in the goodness of mankind, or faith in the belief that after death, your done and can finally forever sleep.

I`m not trying to Promote God through this question, i dont believe, and this is not what its about. If you state you dont need faith to take chances in life... Would you really take a chance if there was no possible benefit at all. Can you even fathom that course of action. Thats like saying "I`m gonna jump off this bridge into a pit of lava(no questions ask`d). Now, if you say that your gonna do that, theres usually some sort of benefit behind it, or "you have faith in something". Do it because you think it`ll make the world a better place, and you have "faith" in the world, you believe in it, and that it can be improved and made better. Do it to prove to youself that their is/isnt a God, then you have "faith" in "Truth", you believe that there is a true answer. I dont know if what i`m trying to say is clear, or if i properly wrote all i was thinking and things, but maybe it`ll do.

Of course not, even if it is a destructive faith or belief. Even Hitler believed in his 'Destiny" and faith in his ultimate victory.

Courage can evidenced when there is only the smallest glimmer of hope. Even when it's just getting out of bed everyday and facing a sometimes cold and hostile world. Just on the hope that things will be better.

Courage doesn't have to be on a grand scale, ordinary people bear up under the heavest burdens because they have faith and hope. The sad thing is they don't know how courageous they really are.

Courage and faith are two different things that do not nessasarily correlate together. It is possible to do great things with no faith at all. You don't need faith to take chances in life. To take chances in life is a human thing and not a religiously tied trait.

I don't really believe in god ( and i am not alone) and it is possible to have courage thinking that there is no God and if we die we just diappear. However I don't think we can have courage without believing in something...no matter what it is or how small it is, we always need something to hold on to to have courage. Nobody can stand alone and have courage.

Yeah..it's called "self-esteem"; depends on what you've been through in life and what you've learned from it.
Life experiences give you the courage to proceed with other things.
I don't believe, however, that man can exist without GOD. The restlessness we feel in ourselves is really something missing.
I believe it's GOD in our lives.

Those are separate issues. Many people use faith as a wellspring of courage, but you don't HAVE to.
