Well if you are dating the girl you could always tell you you want to be exclusive. If she wants to be in a relationship she will go for it and if not then maybe you are better off moving on with someone who wants to be in a realtionship. If a girl really wants to be in a committed relationship you shouldn't have to convince her.

Take her on a couple of dates, not the dinner and a movie kind, take her out where you two can talk and learn each others likes and dislikes, and then if you want a relationship with her ask her to be your girlfriend.
