I have to ask a question before I can answer yours. How are you being a hypocrite? If you feel that you are ready to take on a boyfriend then test your strengths and do it, but if you get hurt because you really were not ready it will only hurt you more. Your friend may think what she will you can not change that. You need to figure out if you want a friend or a boyfriend, or maybe you can talk it over with your friend and have both. It all depends on how you approach the problem. Remember everybody has a different point of view and you must try and relate. Maybe she feels that she is going to lose you if you date or something of that nature. I don't know because I don't know the whole story. I ask that you will ponder this problem before taking action and that no matter what happens between you and your friends that you will forgive any harm that may come. I hope I have helped you in some (even in the smallest) way. Have a wonderful day.

You be you, nobody tells you whether you are ready to date or not. I am not sure what you are referring to if you are not ready to date but you go ahead and date? Remember people are gona tell you all the coulda woulda shoulda's but you decide and walk thru that door so if you decide you want to try dating then do it. God will see your heart and that you just want to do the right thing and He will honor that. Maybe things will turn out to be just friends or you may find that are not ready to date and that is not being hypocritical that is a part of life and you are still learning. Don't sweat it just live and love life!!!

A hypocrite is someoine with a false sense of virtue.... I don't see you being a hypocrite, its OK to wait to date a guy until you are ready. Maybe your friend is just jealous... that's her problem not yours, I'm sure she'll get over it don't worry.

i don't see anything hypocritical, but i don't really think we have all the information here.
And as for "God wasn't ready." We hear so little about god's dating habits....

Lets see- you weren't ready to date him and you didn't... Then you started dating him when you felt ready- sounds pretty logical to me!!! Tell her to get a dictionary!!!
