Why don't we do some thing more constructive, like give the Border Patrol enough money to do its' job more effectively, and get the fence built. Spend the money on buses etc., and let's start seeing some people go back to mexico...the cross-border migration problem won't be fixed until Mexico's economy is capable of standing on its' own two feet, and that won't happen as long as they've got total unfettered access to the United States. It's like the locks, on a canal. When there's more water on one side of the doors, the doors can't open. When the level is the same, or close to it on both sides, then you can swing the doors open. Right now, there's a FLOOD of people coming into the United States. So, get the locks built, and since the mexicans want close to what we have, you'll see em develop it THERE.
Then, when they're a little closer to having similar conditions to what we have, and there's not such a bum's rush to get into the United States, then it'd be all right to start opening things up a bit...but, not before.

its a stupid idea....
not only because i have no problems with people immigrating legal or otherwise...but because it would just be a waste of money and not work, and not be practical. you are just going to end up with a desert full of dead alligators...they can't survive in 99% of the area around the border. this is clearly nothing more than a joke to email to friends that isn't near as clever or funny as some people no doubt think it is.

it would probably be a good idea. but, how much money would we waste feeding them, if the immigrants didnt provide themselves as food, and what about them surviving? they arent in there natural habitat. so how would we be able to keep them there? and how would we keep them on the border. are we going to train the gators to stand guard? are we going to waste the money on man power to make sure the gators stay where they are assigned too?

what i dont get, why dont we just shoot anyone who tries to cross? screw this trying to catch and convict bull-sh-it. lets just shoot to kill and see how many of them try to come over here.

The threat of the border patrol with machine guns is not a deterrent the threat of hatred,being away from family,friends,and children isn't as strong as bettering themselves and you want to put a mote around the border? It's laughable.

I think that article is just a mean spirited, uncompassionate idea, and an effort at humor that is not very humerous. The issue of illegal immigration is a serious one, but needs to be solved with brainpower.......not alligator power! But that's just MHO.

No, we aren't about to put alligators on the border with Mexico. We just need a lot more security and for the illegal aliens to come her illegally or to go back to their country. They make me mad though. Because of them, we have to pay more in taxes. We should have a flat tax.
