If they were truly saved, even in the exremely unlikely event that they were foolish enough to renounce it and convert to a pagan religion, they would go to heaven; our salvation is never truly in our hands anyway, so how could we undo it?

Yes because anyone who believes and accepts Jesus is saved. Religion is just a way that they express themselves and is not required to be considered "holy" what I mean is that God looks at the heart, not what you do or don't do. For example, a person that serves the church, helps people out, the congregation praises his doings, but in his house he abuses his wife and children because of his anger issues. God does not honor what a person does when the heart is not in the right place. So in answer to your question if a person converts from catholic to baptist or whatever are still saved as long as they believe in Jesus.

do you mean "Christian believers" that turn to other religious faiths 'outside of Christianity?' (or are you referring to the various denominations 'within Christianity?')

I'm not their judge, but then again --- the Bible (God's WORD) tells us that God is a jealous God, and we aren't suppose to worship any other gods...

so if they're "converted" to another religion 'outside of the Christian faith', than no - they're probably not still considered SAVED.

I think lots of times people confuse the term "Salvation"...

Believing in JESUS means -
(1) believe with your mind that he's who he says he is "AND"
(2) actively follow his teachings.

so our continued Salvation, depends on our continued obedience.

As for changing 'denominations'... Again, if there living by Christ' teachings than they're fine...If not, they're dis-obeying.

pretty straight forward...If you ask me.

Obey God. Go to Heaven.

Um, I don't think so.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Yes, God is bigger than religion, he looks at the heart.
