A mutt is a dog with more than 3 different breeds in them. They are just a mixed breed but people usually refer to them as street dogs because thats were most mutts are from. But they are very sweet dogs.

A Mutt is a dog that has two or more breeds to it. I grew up with a mutt. He was a mix between a beagle and a lab. They also have a wonderful temperament, too.

A mixed breed dog or mongrel. Instead of a pure breed dog like a German Shepard or Poodle. A mutt is a blend of pure breed dogs. Often times they are healthier than pure breeds because they do not have the congenital defects of the breed.

My definition of the term "mutt":

A dog whose linage is unknown. My dog is a "mutt". All I know about her is that she is a sweetheart and won't let anyone near me without me knowing they are there. Oh yeah, she is black, long hair, and I know nothing beyond that.
