I really don't know the reason, but I've noticed most domestic beers are twist off while most imported are not. Molson,the canadian beer is.Twist off that is. Maybe it's because canadien hockey fans get too drunk to open it any other way.

I think that it seals in the freshness better than if it were a twist off.

Since it has very little taste, color, body, head or mouthfeel, they don't want you to get the cap off that easily !!

It has nothing to do with the quality and 'class' of the beer.
It has to do with what kind of bottling equipment they have and how old it is.
