yup. They use blinking as communication too. A long stare and a slow blink means i trust you...I like to do this back to my cats. Also they have a second pair of eyelids in their eyes. You can really see it when their sleepy or you just woke them up. Its in the corners of their eyes.

Cats use their blinking as a body language. If you want to get familiar with a stray cat, sit with your body sideways to it, turn your head towards the cat, look it in the eyes, blink slowly and then look forward (which should be sideways from the cat).
This is the most clear signal that you mean no harm to it. (an hunting animal would never close its' eyes to an enemy!)

Cats do blink like us, but they also communicate with blinking as well. A cat who slowly blinks to you, is saying "Hello friend, I trust you."

They do but if you try to keep their eyes open then they have another eyelid in the corner of the eye closest to the nose and that will cover most of their eye

I was told that when a cat winks at you, he's saying he loves you. Whether or not it's true, I believe it. I do that with my cat. On occasion, he winks back :)

Yes they do, actually probably more because they don't have eye lashes so they most likely get more dirt in their eyes.
