I do the 5th most dangerous job in America per number of deaths annually.
The company I am employed by has a single foreign national who is legally in this country. There are no "illegals" even asking about doing this job. They see what we do and shake their heads. I enjoy this work for obvious reasons.

Working those jobs and climbing that ladder, that's how I got where I am today. Let's see, I cleaned motel rooms, worked on the side with my boyfriend doing other peoples lawn care, I cleaned houses for people in CO years ago. Then came fast food and 7/11. Then motel desk clerk, then receptionist, then with a little schooling, I am now an accountant. Isn't that the way it is supposed to be done? We would do those jobs if the illegals weren't here getting paid $3/hr. to do it. I know I worked them. Oh yeah, summer in highschool I picked cantelope in the fields in the Imperial Valley, CA to earn extra money so I could go on trips with the high school band. Damn, I done good!

It's kinda simply really. If there are jobs, Americans won't do, outsorce them. That is, give em' to countries that will do them and want the work/$$$$$ in their own respective counties.
No problem cuz then ...we don't have a bunch of yahoo's (pun inteded) running around here in the USA messing things up for the rest of us.
So pay the maids and gardeners a bit more money or do the work yourself. We really don't need these illegalls here screwing up our country and the opportunities for those who want to migrate here legally. The new immigrants tha are legal will do a large % of these jobs for a while, til they get on their feet. Then the next batch of legal imms. will do it.
Grow your strawberries in Mexico. And your lettuce etc. We don't need 50 Mexican restraunts to every one Ethiopian restraunt, or Russian restraunt, etc.
You want to ravig workers (Tyson fds.), go off shore and do your thang. Don't mess our country up with your greed and stupidity!
We don't need illegals here that have no vested interest/commitment in our country or our way of life, except to turn a buck to feed their over populated families.

A family member is a dishwasher at an Ethiopian restaurant. Before he got that job, he was told he wouldn't be hired as a busboy at a Chinese restaurant because he didn't have a green card (he was born in town, of Scottish ancestry.) Possibly a lot of college kids are happy to do jobs that "Americans won't do."

Right here buddy! I clean my own house, I wouldn't have an illegal in my house. I cook, great I might add. We work in the garden and grow some of our own vegetables. I wash all of our clothes and hang them out on the line.
We hire an AMERICAN to cut the grass. I have never needed an illegal to do anything for me and I never will.
This Kubrickian asked something similar and when I answered honestly that I don't hire Mexicans to do any work for me, he called me names. That is how low class they are. He asked a question and I was honest in my answer and that is where he went with it. These people are trash.

"Americans perform dirty, dangerous work everyday, from coal miners and oil workers to electrical line workers and of course police and fire fighters. Americans built houses and worked as meat packers for hundreds of years. To say that illegal immigrants take jobs Americans won't is an insult to hard-working people across the country. But they won't do it for nothing. It's interesting that many politicians who support the free market for products do not support similar supply and demand policies for labor. No one would let me sell illegal goods, stolen cars, etc, legally because people like to buy these things for cheap. But that is exactly what is happening with illegal workers."

I don't know what the jobs are that Americans won't do? One would think that if there are jobs we don't want to do those would be lucrative jobs just as long as there is not an over-supply of cheap illegal laborers waiting to do them for pennies.

If American's would pay liveable wages there would be plenty. I have higher dreams than making $6 an hour picking oranges. If they paid $20 an hr than I would...

I can't think of any. Many of the illegals scream that without them lots of things the American need done wouldn't get take care of. Let's see..... I clean my own toilet, I do my own laundry, I do my own cooking and cleaning, I do my own yard work, I do my own harvesting from my garden (I have a really large garden and grow lots of my own food). Gee if we can't get these things done without them, then how come none of them are here to do them for me? I guess that makes them liars about that too doesn't it?
